 | "I love working with CEOs as they try to change the world in some meaningful way." |
Tim is a founding partner of ABS Capital Partners whose investment
interests and experience span the business services, healthcare, media
& communications and software sectors.

Background
Prior to joining ABS Capital in
1993, Tim spent 16 years with Alex. Brown & Sons Incorporated,
where he founded and headed the firm’s Capital Markets Group from 1989
to 1993. While in this role, Tim had some 500 people reporting to him
and responsibility for $300 million in revenues. For over 15 years Tim
built a knowledge-based, investment banking and capital markets
practice based not on just doing deals but more importantly on which
teams and platforms in which sectors were building durable franchise
value over time. Sometimes tasked with taking over divisions of
Alex Brown that were losing money, Tim was able to take a number of
measures such as recruiting outside talent, reorganizing compensation
structures, and maintaining a focus on only profitable customers that
led to successful, profitable business units. Today, Tim works with his
companies to guide through the initiatives that can help them to
achieve success.
